German Headquarters 1939-1942 Expansion set (6133)

We are glad to announce another new set for the Art of Tactic system – the German HQ in 1:72 scale. The set is highly detailed, historically accurate and easy to assemble. Modellers will be able to make an addition to their collections of miniature soldiers, and gamers will be able to reinforce their armies with another troop type.
The headquarters’ task was to provide proper interaction between different units on the battlefield. Its other tasks were to provide the units with supplies and to coordinate actions with higher command.

German Heavy Tank Tiger I Expansion set (6256)

In 1941, after initial fights against Soviet tanks, German command came to conclusion that existing tanks employed by Wehrmacht did not suffice and they needed a tank both better armed and armoured. Next year, two prototype heavy tanks were ready. The tank created by Henshel company won and its mass production was immediately launched. The tank was named “Tiger”. Tigers were first used in combat in the end of 1942, but only in limited quantities. The full-scale use of the tank started the next year. Having a thick armour plating and impressive armament, Tiger became the best-known German tank of World War II era.

Pak 40 Anti-tank Gun with Crew Expansion set (6257)

By the 1941 it became clear that Pz.Kpfw. IV’s gun was inefficient against well-armoured tanks. A modification of the tank with more powerful gun was being developed since the beginning of 1941. The requirements for the tank’s gun were changed several times. The final version was a 75-mm gun based on the Pak 40 anti-tank gun. The new modification of the tank was named Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf.F2. Its mass production began in March of 1942.
